Snow = Camera Heaven!

Loving all the snow that we've had over the weekend.  Saturday morning we took Lucy to one of our local walks round the lakes and it was lovely,  a winter wonderland.  While we were there it started snowing as well, Lucy had a great time, she loves the snow and acts like a puppy!

On Sunday we headed into Norwich as the Ice Sculpture Trail was taking place again.  They've had this for a few years now and think this year's was the best. The sculptures are created from approximately 10 tonnes of ice and are hand carved by a team of five over 3 months in London and then delivered to Norwich.  It was absolutely freezing though, don't think it got above 1C yesterday but excellent for the sculptures.  So we had a walk round the city finding the sculptures then went to Starbucks for a warm up drink!

Schools Out!

School is finished now for two weeks.  Had a good last day yesterday, the Head Teacher allowed all the children onto the field which was covered in snow to have snowball fights and boy did they make the most of it !  Once they knew they were allowed to get most of us dinner ladies it was a free for all!!  Made the lunchhour go by very quickly!!!  After I got home and thawed out I finished this layout which I did using some Making Memories Miseltoe papers.

We have had a Robin come and feed in our garden for a while now but its very nervous and doesn't stay for long when the other birds are about but yesterday afternoon it was around for a while, whether it was hungry because of the snow i don't know but I managed to set my  camera up from Kim's window and got a few photos of it that I'm pleased with.

We had abit more snow last night, not as much as other parts of Norfolk but looking forward to going abit further afield this morning on our walk to get some nice snow scenes and yes, maybe one or two of Lucy!!!

Back Later!

Winter Wonderland?

Well, a little bit!  We had some snow last night but not as much as they forecasted, but more is meant to be on the way today so fingers crossed we get lots!!  I would rather we had loads for a few days not this little bit here and there that seems to disrupt everywhere.  Last night about 4.30pm it got really cold and the snow turned to black ice and there was a car crash outside our house, no-one was injured but they were sliding all over the road as the gritters hadn't been out yet.  Last day of school today for two weeks!  Kim has gone in but finishes at 12pm so she was pleased! Frosty start to the day!

Woke up to a ground frost this morning and had to scrape the ice off the car before we could go out!  The experts are forecasting some snow this week!!   Next week would be better!

Winter Sunrise

This morning's sunrise was beautiful.

Domestic Goddesses!!

A busy weekend here.  Saturday was my crop day, a week earlier than usual because of Xmas.  I had decided to rent the smaller room as I didn't think there would be alot of ladies coming along but in the end I had about 12-14 say they were so we went into the main hall but alas most of them didn't turn up so there were about eight of us rattling round in the big hall!!!  But we had a laugh and it was a chance to actually chat to some of the ladies that I don't normally have time too.

Sunday was a trip out to The Range, Sainsburys and Pets at Home and then home to finish this layout that I started at the crop on Saturday.

Kimberley and I made some of Nigella Lawson's mini Xmas puddini Truffles yesterday afternoon, they are so easy to make and taste great!

This is the last week of term, we all finish school this Friday and then two weeks off, hurray!!! Wednesday after work we are going up to our local coffee shop for our Xmas 'do'!  Got presents to wrap up today and hopefully Neil has Thursday off and we are going into the city for a spot of shopping then a nice lunch out.

Christmas Lights and Decorations

Thursday after school Kim and I caught the bus and went into the city to do a little bit of Christmas shopping and I just happened to take my camera with me!  Unfortunately forgot the tripod so photos not as sharp as I would hope for but will go back in again with tripod.  Here are a couple of photos of the changing colours on our City Hall.  The colours went from green, blue, red, pink, purple.

We put our tree up last night, went for blues and reds this year.
